In 1972, the Social Psychiatry Research Institute was established by two psychiatrists to support and conduct clinical research for antidepressant and anti-anxiety drugs. From our founding in New York over 40 years ago, SPRI has grown from a small network of clinical sites to a respected multi-national contract research organization. As we expanded our expertise to include multiple therapeutic areas, notably oncology, infectious disease and endocrinology , we also added strategic offices in Central and Eastern Europe (most notably Belarus, Georgia, Russia and Ukraine). Today, we employ nearly 80 of the industry’s most talented clinical research professionals around the globe.
